The title says it all— I want colder weather.
Usually by now the seasons have changed in California and things have started to cool down. However this year, the Indian summer is hitting us hard. It was 82 degrees on Halloween, for reference. My solution? Pack up and head to the Midwest where I can actually experience the season in all of its glory and prance around in my sweaters and coats.
In a few weeks I am traveling to Chicago, Illinois to frolic in some real fall weather with some of my best blogger girlfriends. To say I’m underprepared for the bone-chilling temperatures is an understatement. So, naturally, I created a wish list of things I want for the trip. Gimme all the longline coats and funky knits.
Here’s what I want for the colder weather, in no particular order.
Sherpa jacket — This trend is booming, and rightfully so. I’ll take all the jackets that make me look like a cuddly teddy bear, please.
Winter boots — It may not be snowing in Chicago while we’re there, but I’m heading to Montana in February— these are a must.
Patagonia beanie — I have been eyeing a Patagonia hat for weeks now. I think it’s time to bite the bullet.
Glam earrings — I’ve never been to Chicago, but I’m envisioning a mini winter wonderland, so of course I want some festive and glam jewels.
Lounge set — I’m all about the plane-chic sweat sets, and I’m dying over this star print from Z Supply.
Slouch boot — It took me a while to get on board with this style, but now I’m team slouch-y boot.
A Christmas-green dress — Too soon? I’m ready for some holiday glam, even if I freeze my buns off.
A hot pink sweater — Generally speaking, I’m not a pink kinda girl, but for some reason I’m really feeling the Barbie pink sweaters this year.
A printed, chunky knit — I’ll take five, thanks.
Camel coat — I have a camel coat that gets the job done, but to be honest, I think it’s time for an upgrade.
Festive jumpsuit — You know I love a good jumpsuit, and this plaid print is giving me all of the holiday feels.
