Every Christmas season, my company plans extravagant holiday parties that outdo the previous year’s. They’re usually pretty formal, sometimes have a theme and almost always have an open bar. Fun, right? This year I was especially excited because our party was on a yacht in San Francisco, California. Hello, booze cruise.
This night was pure magic. It goes without saying that I love the ocean, so a holiday party on the water? Yes, please.
They shuttled us to and from the city from our office in Campbell, California— which was seriously so convenient. On the boat, there was oodles of schmoozing and boozing. We had an open bar, life-size Jenga, a full dinner and dessert spread, a DJ and breathtaking views. The cruise went from Pier 3, out to the Golden Gate Bridge and back, which was the perfect amount of time to be trapped on a boat with colleagues. We (my best friend and I) bounced as soon as we docked.
Like any holiday gathering, I love finding the best outfit. My company party seemed like the perfect excuse to snag the For Love & Lemons gilded star mini dress, since I had been eyeing it for months. At nearly $300, it was a total splurge, but totally worth it. I wore mine with silver metallic block heels, mixed metal necklaces, a silver clutch and a nude lip.
I am obsessed with this dress, and already itching to wear it again (#outfitrepeater — sue me).
