Stars. At the risk of sounding like a complete patriotic psycho I am seriously obsessed with stars and stripes (you can read more about the stripes here) as of late. Starry-eyed, if you will.
I feel the need to clarify, though, in order to maintain the integrity of this blog. I am not a fan of big, obnoxious, colorful, graphic stars. And you wouldn’t catch me wearing the bro-y NorCal star in a million years. Instead, I like the teeny, subtle stars that look like polka dots at first (and maybe even second) glance. You know— a classic trend, with a modern edge. Whether it’s a white blouse with a tiny black stellar design, a golden choker with dangly lunar charms, a sheer mesh top with subtle embroidered stars or a black jumper with an allover celestial print— I love it all.
This to-the-moon jumper from 12th Tribe was right up my alley. I mean, am I wearing stars or polka dots? You may never know (JK, they’re obvs stars). I paired it with a ribbed, tie-up bodysuit from Privacy Please, a Brixton Fiddler Fisherman Cap and lots (and lots and lots) of layered gold jewels. I love this look for fall with a denim jacket draped over my shoulders and a pair of booties. Swoon.
Maybe one day I’ll stop seeking out stars, but today is not that day.
